Welcome to Code Of Core (stylized as CodeOfCore), a mixed martial arts (MMA) social media platform accessible at www.codeofcore.com (the “Platform”). The Services are operated by CODE OF CORE LTD (company number 17193932), a private limited company. These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the Platform (the “Services”).

1. Account Registration and Management

  • You may register an account by providing accurate and truthful information.
  • You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials and agree to notify us immediately of unauthorized use.
  • You have the right to delete your account at any time via the Services. Account deletion may remove your profile and associated data, and some data may remain temporarily in backup copies.

2. User Content

  • You may upload photos, videos, text, and specific data inputs (saved in JSON format) (“User Content”).
  • You retain ownership of your User Content, but grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display, distribute, and use your User Content within the Platform as needed to operate, improve, and promote the Platform.
  • Your User Content must comply with these Terms and our Community Guidelines. We may remove, restrict, or disable access to User Content that we believe violates these Terms, our Community Guidelines, applicable law, or the safety of the Platform or its users.
  • You may delete your posts at any time. Deleted content will be removed from public view but may remain temporarily in backup copies.

3. User Conduct and Safety

  • We have zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users.

  • You agree to use the Platform respectfully and lawfully. You must not post, upload, share, transmit, promote, or otherwise make available any content or behavior that is unlawful, abusive, harmful, or inappropriate.

  • Prohibited content and conduct include, without limitation:

    • harassment, bullying, threats, or intimidation;
    • hate speech, slurs, or content that targets a person or group based on protected characteristics;
    • sexually explicit content, sexual exploitation, or non-consensual intimate content;
    • graphic violent content posted to shock, glorify violence, or encourage harm;
    • spam, scams, fraud, misleading promotions, or deceptive activity;
    • impersonation, fake accounts, or misrepresentation of identity or affiliation;
    • content that encourages illegal activity, self-harm, or harm to others;
    • any other objectionable, abusive, or inappropriate content or behavior.
  • You may hide, report, or block other users and their content if it violates these Terms or our Community Guidelines.

  • We may review, filter, restrict, remove, or refuse content, and we may suspend, restrict, or permanently ban accounts that violate these Terms, our Community Guidelines, or that otherwise create risk or harm to the Platform, our users, or the public.

  • We may use a combination of automated tools and manual review to detect, review, and enforce against prohibited content and abusive behavior.

  • You agree not to attempt unauthorized access, disrupt the Services, or misuse the Platform, including scraping, reverse engineering, introducing malware, interfering with security features, or attempting to circumvent moderation or safety systems.

4. Data Privacy and Security

  • We use AWS backend infrastructure, providing encryption in transit to protect your data.
  • Our data storage solution is DynamoDB, using security measures designed to protect data.
  • You can request to download your data via the Platform.

5. Intellectual Property

  • Except for (a) User Content and (b) third-party / open-licensed content described below, all content provided by us on the Platform, including the app, website, software, design, and branding, remains our property or that of our licensors.
  • You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, sell, or exploit our proprietary materials except as permitted by applicable law or with our prior written consent.

5.1 Third-Party / Open-Licensed Content

  • Some informational content displayed in the Services is provided under open licenses and/or belongs to third parties. Such content remains the property of its respective owners and is subject to the applicable license terms.
  • Portions of text content are adapted from Wikipedia articles and are available under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International License (CC BY-SA 4.0): https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0/
  • Where this material is used, we provide attribution and a link to the relevant source page(s) and license. The content may be reformatted, shortened, or otherwise modified from the original. Nothing in these Terms is intended to restrict any rights you may have to use Wikipedia-derived content under CC BY-SA 4.0.

5.2 Third-Party Trademarks; No Affiliation

  • The Platform may reference the names of third-party organizations, events, and promotions (for example, “UFC”) solely to identify and describe publicly available factual information about MMA events and fights.
  • We do not use third-party logos, trade dress, or branding (including the UFC logo). We reference third-party names only as necessary to identify the relevant events and related factual data.
  • We are not affiliated with, associated with, authorized by, endorsed by, or in any way officially connected with any such third parties.
  • All third-party trademarks, service marks, and brand names are the property of their respective owners. Any reference to them does not imply sponsorship, endorsement, or a license granted to us.

6. Service Availability and Liability

  • We strive to ensure Platform availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access.
  • We are not liable for damages arising from disruptions or downtime to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.

7. Regional Compliance

  • Our services are primarily designed for users in the USA, UK, EU, Australia, and UAE. Users outside these regions may have differing user experiences and legal protections.

8. Suspension, Removal, and Termination

  • We reserve the right to investigate suspected violations of these Terms or our Community Guidelines.
  • We may remove content, restrict account features, suspend, or permanently terminate your account, with or without prior notice, if you violate these Terms, our Community Guidelines, applicable law, or if we believe it is necessary to protect the Platform, other users, our systems, or the public.
  • We may also preserve and disclose relevant information where required by law or where reasonably necessary to enforce these Terms, investigate abuse, or protect rights, safety, and security.

9. Amendments to Terms

  • We may update these Terms periodically. Users will be notified of significant changes. Continued use of the Services after updates constitutes acceptance.

10. Governing Law

  • These Terms will be governed by applicable laws. Depending on your location, mandatory consumer protection laws may apply. Any disputes arising from these Terms will be resolved according to the relevant jurisdiction as required by law.
